Volumatic will be exhibiting at the Retail Fraud conference 2011 in London. Volumatic will showcase its headline product, the CounterCache intelligent machine (CCi) that streamlines front-end processes at POS and cuts cash handling up to 75%; once a banknote is handed over at the till, it need not be touched again until it reaches the bank or cash centre.

In addition to exhibiting at Retail Fraud, Volumatic has sponsored the Retail Fraud Survey 2011 set to launch at the conference. Published by Retail Knowledge and conducted by Martec International, the Retail Fraud Survey 2011 is the first-ever comprehensive retailer report detailing adopted in-store and online fraud prevention strategies by each of the UK’s 100 leading retailers.

Product provides cash validation, counting and secure storage right at the register

Upper Saddle River, NJ (July 20, 2010) – Leading cash counting and security equipment manufacturer Volumatic will feature its CounterCache™ intelligent (CCi) electronic cash security and storage system at booth #414 at the National Food Safety Security Council (NFSSC) 2010 Expo.  The show takes place from August 1-4 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch in St. Louis, Mo.

Volumatic’s CCi processes cash right at the register.  Immediately after a cash transaction, bills are fed into the CCi where they are validated and counted.  The bills are then stored in a recyclable and tamper-evident pouch called TruPouch™.  The TruPouch allows secure transportation of cash off-site, dramatically reducing the possibility of theft and the cost of handling.

In addition, the CCi maintains a continuous transaction log with full bill count that enables instant and efficient shift change and operator accountability.  Electronic transfer of all information is available and data can be accessed via RS232, USB, Bluetooth or Ethernet communication ports to a host computer such as a PC or PDA.

Cash validation and counting device eliminates counterfeit bills and staff theft

Upper Saddle River, NJ (February 4, 2010) – Volumatic’s CounterCache Intelligent® (CCi) cash storage and counting device eliminates point-of-sale losses and errors while reducing cash processing costs at retail outlets.

The CCi mounts underneath the register for secure, out-of-sight operation.  It validates and counts bills instantly, and then stores them securely in a specialized, recyclable bag with tamper evident interlocking design, called TruPouch™.  One TruPouch holds up to 400 bills and allows secure transportation of cash with no further counting required.  Cash can be transported to the bank for deposit or directly off site via armored car carrier, eliminating staff theft and reducing cash handling costs.

All operations, including opening the CCi door, are monitored and logged.  The device also provides a continuous timed transaction log with full note count, enabling instant and efficient shift changes while maintaining operator accountability.  Electronic data transfer is available via RS232, USB, Bluetooth or Ethernet connection ports to host computers, such as a PC or PDA.

Certification ensures environmental, and occupational health and safety compliance

Upper Saddle River, NJ (January 25, 2010) – Leading cash handling and security product manufacturer Volumatic has extended its ISO certification 9001:2008 in Quality Management Systems.  The new certification includes ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 for Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety compliance.

Volumatic has supplied G4S Maritime, world leader in the provision of international ship and port facility security services, with its TruSort coin sorting machine at Port of Dover. Port of Dover has 15 car parking ticket machines that accept assorted coins and must be emptied and counted at least once a week.

Recently G4S decided to sort the coins in-house and they contacted Volumatic for a low cost, simple to operate and reliable machine that did not occupy a large amount of space when not in use.

“Each week’s collection was being counted by hand and it soon became clear that we needed to obtain a suitable machine to assist with the process. It took 2 people around 3-4 hours over 2 days to count a single collection by hand, which in terms of productivity was unacceptable,” Steven Taylor MD – G4S Maritime commented.

Volumatic offered a 2 week trial with coin sorting machine TruSort to see if it would be suitable. TruSort is fully automated and able to count and sort 216 coins per minute. It sorts coins into individual hoppers and also into the correct denomination that the bank requires for each bag.

Mich and Tracy use Volumatic’s TruSort coin sorting machine to count and sort money collected from the car parking machines at Port of Dover.

“This saved us a lot of time. From the assorted coin stage to paying in at the Bank can now be accomplished in less than a day.” Steven said, “I have to say that our experience with Volumatic and its products has been superb. The machine provided meets all of our requirements at around a tenth of the cost of any of the other equipment we considered. It is refreshing to find a company that listens to what the customer needs, rather than try to push products from their warehouse and the level of attention and service at every stage has been nothing short of exemplary.”

Volumatic’s CounterCache™ intelligent (CCi) cash security machine and portable TruScan forgery detector have both been certified for inclusion on the European Central Bank website. The website lists banknote authentication devices that have been tested by the National Central Banks of the Eurosystem (NCB’s) and demonstrated the ability to accurately recognise Euro counterfeits.

The published list aims to help users decide suitable products for detecting forgeries and includes the CCi and TruScan. The CCi is a cash security storage machine at the point of sale that scans, validates and counts banknotes and then stores them securely in a tamper-evident pouch for easy transport. TruScan is a low cost, portable forgery detector that uses multiple detection methods including infra-red detection, magnetic ink, magnetic code and 2D size recognition to accurately identify forgeries within 0.5 of a second.

Volumatic was recently selected to exhibit and demonstrate its latest technology at nine ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) Regional Engagement Seminars – Business Crime, across England & Wales. The ACPO-led seminars, managed and facilitated by the Co-operative Group, aimed to promote better partnership and engagement between all key stakeholders. Volumatic Ltd is pleased to announce that Moneytronic Nederland BV is now the sole distributor of all Volumatic products in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Until now Moneytronic have concentrated on distributing Volumatic’s CountEasy and MultiCount note and coin counters. Moneytronic has now also taken on the distribution of Volumatic’s successful CounterCache range of products including the new CounterCache intelligent (CCi) validation and storage machine.
