Volumatic Launches CounterCache™ Intelligent at NRF Show
Electronic Cash Security and Storage System for Retailers addresses POS Cash Theft
Leading cash counting and security equipment manufacturer Volumatic will launch its new CounterCache™ intelligent (CCi) electronic cash security and storage system for point of sale at the National Retail Federation’s 2009 Annual Convention and Expo, on January 13 and 14 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

By visiting Volumatic’s booth #322, retailers can view first-hand how the CCi not only can secure cash from losses at point of sale, but also improve cash processing efficiency by reducing the number of pickups and overall cash handling costs in their stores. The system validates and counts bills, then stores them securely in a recyclable and tamper evident pouch called TruPouch™. The TruPouch allows secure transportation of cash either to the retailer’s cash office, to the bank for deposit or, depending on store procedures, by direct pickup via an armored car service for processing. This dramatically reduces the possibilities of cash theft and the cost of cash handling.
In addition, the CCi maintains a continuous transaction log with full bill count that enables instant and efficient shift change and operator accountability. Electronic transfer of all information is available and data can be accessed via RS232, USB, Bluetooth or Ethernet communication ports to a host computer such as a PC or PDA.
