CounterCache™ Intelligent Eliminates Losses

Volumatic Omal has launched its CounterCache™ Intelligent machine that helps eliminate errors and losses at point of sale and massively reduces cash processing costs in retail outlets.

CounterCache™ Intelligent

The CounterCache™ Intelligent (CCI) validates and counts notes and then stores them securely in TruPouch™. TruPouch™ is recyclable and has a tamper evident interlocking design providing secure transportation of cash directly off site to cash centres eliminating any possibility of staff theft and reducing the cost of cash handling.

In addition, the CCI provides a continuous timed transaction log, with full note count, that enables instant and efficient shift change and operator accountability.  Electronic transfer of all information is available and data can be accessed via RS232, USB, Bluetooth or Ethernet communication ports to a host computer such as a PC or PDA.

Notes can be fed into the CCI four-ways, reducing operation time to less than 5 seconds per note. Once accepted the notes are fed automatically into the TruPouch™, which can carry up to 400 notes. All operations, including opening the CCI door, are monitored and logged.

Other products in the CounterCache™ range include the CounterCache™ Basic and CounterCache™ Compact.

The CounterCache™ Basic is a simple drop box where notes are deposited directly into the unit through a vertical slot and compressed to assist counting. Between one and six items can be deposited at a time, and the unit has a capacity of 600 currency-sized notes.

The Compact CounterCache™ is a more advanced option which features an inner cassette that can store up to 350 currency-sized pieces of paper.  It has a horizontal slot to optimise note presentation and works on a dual key principle, meaning that the door can only be opened with a key to the unit and the internal receptacle can only be accessed and removed using a keyplate, which slides into the roof to form a sealed box.  It can accept between one and twenty items at a time.
