Volk Extends Service in Latin America and Caribbean
Jorge Fernandez, Regional Business Manger, Volk Optical.
Fernandez will serve customers and distributors throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, offering educational and sales support for Volk’s complete product line. He will work closely with doctors and facilities to help them select, use and install diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical ophthalmic lenses, equipment, and accessories to facilitate the growth of ophthalmology in these territories. Fernandez will also continue to develop Volk’s distributor network, training new and existing distributors, and increasing the company’s conference and tradeshow presence.
Fernandez developed his familiarity with Latin America during his time as Corporate Sales Manager with LAN Airlines, South America’s largest airline. He is also fluent in Portuguese and has lived in Brazil. Fernandez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida (Gainesville, Fla.) and is currently working towards a Masters of Business Administration.
