Volk Displays Surgical Assistant at ASRS Show

Optiflex and Digital Series lenses among equipment featured

Mentor, Ohio (August 20, 2008) – Volk Optical, the industry leader in aspheric optics, is exhibiting at the American Society of Retinal Specialists (ASRS) show, October 11-15 at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui, Hawaii.

The Optiflex® Surgical Assistant from Volk Optical

Volk will be featuring the manual Optiflex® Surgical Assistant at its booth #22.  Developed for maximum control of non-contact lens position and focus, the Optiflex delivers clear, crisp views during vitreo-retinal surgery.  The systems’ versatile manual controls allow for precise lens positioning adjustments and focus control.  Swing and pivot mechanisms allow the lens to be moved quickly and easily out of the surgical field when not in use.  The system delivers the best possible views while streamlining surgery and freeing up assistants.

Volk will also display their Digital Series BIO and Slit Lamp lenses.  Both are 3rd generation lenses that use Volk’s patented double aspheric design with high grade glass for the highest resolution imaging of any non-contact diagnostic lenses.  The Digital Series lenses assure optical quality and maintain linear image magnifications and image clarity across the entire field of view.

Demonstrations of all Volk products, including the Optiflex Surgical Assistant and Digital Series lenses, will be available along with special show pricing at Volk’s booth.
