Mentor, Ohio (June 19, 2007) – To serve the company’s growing global customer base, Volk Optical has appointed Arlinda Vaughn to the newly created position of Regional Manager – Rest of World (ROW). 

Vaughn will offer targeted, local educational and sales support to international customers and distributors of Volk’s complete line diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical ophthalmic lenses, equipment, and accessories.  Her territories include Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, and Oceania.  In addition to providing service to individual customer accounts, she will further develop Volk’s international presence, providing training, marketing support and sales service to new and existing distributors. 

Vaughn’s previous international business experience and language proficiency will increase the level of support to Volk’s overseas customers.  Most recently, she managed customer relationships and marketing initiatives as an OEM Account Manager with GE Money.  Her six year tenure included an international rotation developing a new financial product in Switzerland. 

Prior to GE, Vaughn held marketing and sales positions with Polyrack GmbH of Germany and Global Risk Consultants’ Latin American service region.  In addition to English, she is fluent in German and Spanish.  Vaughn received a Masters Degree in International Business from Webster University (Webster Groves, Mo.) and Bachelors Degree in German with a minor in Bio-Medical Physics from Washington University (St. Louis, Mo.).  She can be reached by email at Arlinda@volk.com or by telephone at +440-942-6161.
