Top Safety Accreditation For Telegan

Telegan Gas Monitoring (a division of Crowcon Detection Instruments) is one of a group of successful companies to join a leading edge scheme designed to help industry improve its safety record.

The Abingdon-based firm recently received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practices amongst UK contractors.

Telegan specialises in the development and manufacture of flue gas analysers for boiler and furnace maintenance and optimisation, as well as equipment for gas leak detection and emission monitoring.

“The company’s application for SAFEcontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business,” said Business Development Manager David Riddle. “It demonstrates Crowcon’s commitment to ensuring safe and environmentally aware working practices on its own premises as well as on customer sites. All Telegan’s service engineers are now fully trained in compliance with SAFEcontractor practices,” he added.

SAFEcontractor is operated by international safety, health and environmental risk specialists, the National Britannia Group. Under the system, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on the database, which is accessible to registered users at www.safecontractor.com.
