SunTech Medical Acquires NIBP Product Line from CASMED

Morrisville, NC (July 27, 2017) – Blood pressure monitoring specialist SunTech Medical has expanded its product offering by acquiring the CAS Medical Systems, Inc. non-invasive blood pressure monitoring product line. The sale includes MAXNIBP® and MAXIQ™ OEM NIBP technologies.

The new NIBP monitoring products join the SunTech Medical Advantage™ OEM NIBP modules, providing more clinical grade options to customers seeking NIBP technology for multi-parameter monitors, EMS defibrillators, hemodialysis machines and various other clinical monitoring devices.

SunTech Medical Launches New Vet25 and Vet30 BP Monitors at AVMA 2017

Morrisville, NC (July 19, 2017) – SunTech Medical will premiere its new vital signs monitors for companion animals at the American Veterinary Medical Association Convention. Attendees can view demonstrations of the new additions to SunTech’s veterinary BP line, the Vet25 and Vet30, at the company’s booth 1432.

The Vet25 is designed for monitoring blood pressure in either the exam room or operating room. The Vet30 combines SunTech’s trusted blood pressure technology with oxygen saturation and temperature capabilities for monitoring before, during and after a procedure. Both monitors are equipped with the ability to program automatic readings at intervals during a monitoring period.

The devices use motion tolerant technology and SunTech’s Advantage VET blood pressure measurement, an animal-specific algorithm to provide accurate readings on both awake and sedated companion animals. The devices help manage nervous animals with extremely quiet operation and the option to turn off alarms and audible indicators. Vet25 and Vet30 are both portable and rechargeable, and use Bluetooth connectivity to transfer data to a PC application for creating reports.

The AVMA Convention takes place from July 21-25 at the Indiana Convention Center (Indianapolis, Ind.).

The veterinary monitors use motion tolerant technology and SunTech’s Advantage VET blood pressure, an animal-specific algorithm to provide accurate readings on both awake and sedated companion animals. To better manage nervous animals, the Vet25 and Vet30 feature extremely quiet operation, with the option to turn off alarms and audible indicators.

The Vet25 is designed for monitoring blood pressure in either the exam room or operating room. The Vet30 combines SunTech’s trusted blood pressure technology with oxygen saturation and temperature capabilities for monitoring before, during and after a procedure. Both monitors are equipped with the ability to program automatic readings at intervals during a monitoring period.

The Vet25 and Vet30 are both portable and rechargeable. The monitors retain up to 960 data points, even when powered down. Using Bluetooth connectivity, data can be transferred to a reporting PC application for printing reports and creating PDF or CSV format data files.

SunTech Medical Appoints New CEO Rob Sweitzer

Sweitzer has over 20 years of sales management experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining SunTech, he was Vice President and General Manager for infection prevention disposables manufacturer TIDI Products (Neenah, Wis.), as well as Director of Sales for Smiths Medical (Minneapolis, Minn.). Sweitzer’s leadership experience also comes from his 25 years of service in the United States Army and Army Reserve, retiring in 2012. Throughout his career, he has lived and worked internationally in Central America and Italy.

“Besides his wealth of experience and qualifications, Rob also has a proven track record at SunTech Medical,” said John Dunne, Sector Vice President of Halma plc, the parent company of SunTech Medical. “I have every confidence that he will successfully lead the company’s global efforts to continually advance blood pressure monitoring technology for customers and patients worldwide.”

As a result of his global experience, Sweitzer, a native English speaker, is fluent in Spanish and Italian, with a working proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese as well as conversational German. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Spanish and Military Science from the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Wis.).
