Smith Flow Control Expands Into Nuclear Market by Appointing Dupill Group as New Distributors
New distributor for the Flexi-Drive and Easi-Drive valve operating systems
Smith Flow Control, manufacturer of mechanical valve control and safety interlock systems for process, pipeline and maintenance operations, has appointed The Dupill Group as a distributor of all product lines, including the Flexi-Drive and Easi-Drive valve operating systems, for the US nuclear power industry.
The Flexi-Drive and Easi-Drive replace outdated reach rod and conventional systems, and are both designed to increase the safety and functionality of industrial applications by reducing exposure of operating personnel to hazardous materials. The Flexi-Drive is a cable-driven remote operator for valves in inaccessible or hazardous locations. It can transmit drive to valves as far as 200 feet away, accommodating 540 degrees of bends in the cable run. The Easi-Drive is a portable system designed for use with manual valves in situations where valve size, pressure rating or work environment would otherwise demand a dedicated actuator or require a work crew.
The Dupill Group has over 25 years of experience providing product and service solutions for the power, process control, defense and industrial markets. They offer instrumentation and control devices, electrical products, electrical services and training for UPS systems, fluid control and pipe sensing devices. The group also assists customers with their valve testing, specification, actuation and repair needs. The company works in accordance with industry professional agencies such as EPRI, INPO, ASME, NRC and ANSI to develop specific solutions to plant maintenance, training and operational concerns. The Dupill Group is headquartered in Delmont, Pennsylvania and can be contacted by phone 724-468-3271 or via e-mail solutions@dupillgroup.com.
