The S420 series was designed expressly as a direct replacement for existing Strantrol® pH and ORP probes. Constructed of durable CPVC, S420 probes offer improved chemical resistance. Additionally, Sensorex uses a higher volume of its proprietary polymer sensor reference gel for longer service life.  Sensorex’s advanced sensor technology delivers accurate measurement over a range of 0-14 pH or -1000–1000mV for ORP. The probes are suited to a variety of applications with a temperature range of 0-50°C and a pressure maximum of 100psig.

The threaded ½” NPT connection enables easy in line installation or use with existing Strantrol® flow cells without modification. Advanced signal shielding reduces noise for more accurate communication with process control systems. Both the pH and ORP probes are available with the option of 30 inch or 10 foot cable lengths for quick integration into existing systems.

Both Transmitters include Multi-Cal calibration with automatic buffer recognition, two assignable isolated analog (0/4-20mA) current outputs, two alarm/control relays with an additional wash feature, and a universal 100-240VAC power supply. CE certified, the compact NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosures can be wall mounted, installed in a panel or conveniently pipe/handrail mounted.

The TX2000 has a pH measurement range of -2.00 to 16.00pH and an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) measurement range of -1999mV to 1999mV. The CX2000 has a conductivity measurement range of 0.000 uS/cm to 200.0 mS/cm and a resistivity measurement range of 0.00 to 20.00 MΩ • cm. Both are compatible with a number probes and sensors to fit most application requirements.

An optional RS model offers additional features including data display charts and trend graphics, a real-time clock with logbook function, and customer defined five-point calibration with displayed calibration curve. The RS models are also equipped with one analog output and serial RS-485 interface for MODBUS RTU or ASCII communications, easily interfacing to existing plant SCADA or DCS control systems.

Both units have a large backlit display with easy-to-navigate text and graphic illustrations. A password protection option prevents unauthorized tampering. With a temperature span of -30 °C to 130 ° C Sensorex transmitters ensure accuracy in even the most challenging process environments.

Sensorex Adds In-line pH / ORP Electrode to Modular S8000 Industrial Platform

Garden Grove, California (June 7, 2013) – Sensorex has expanded its S8000 series modular electrode platform with the addition of the S8075CD in-line pH electrode and S8075CD-ORP in-line oxidation reduction potential(ORP) electrode. The new electrodes make it possible to integrate the S8000 platform and its modular capabilities into a standard ¾” flow through ‘Tee.’ Typical applications include water/wastewater monitoring, chemical storage, food and beverage production, PCB etching, boiler control, aquaculture, and other process environments where accurate pH and ORP monitoring is essential.

The S8075CD and S8075CD-ORP electrodes were designed for low cost, non-temperature compensated in-line measurement. With integral ¾” NPT threads, the design is compatible with any standard 3/4” flow through ‘Tee.’ Sensorex’s flat surface sensor technology delivers accurate measurement over a range of 0-14 pH or -1999mv to 1999mV for ORP. With a temperature range up to 100°C and pressure rating of 0-100 psig, the S8075CD is suited for both challenging and light duty applications.

With Sensorex’s S8000 series modular pH and ORP platform, users save time and money by configuring a custom system that can grow and change with process needs. Starting with a choice of a pH or ORP (Redox) electrode, users continue customizing with the choice of mounting hardware for in-line or submersion applications. The 316 stainless steel construction withstands both cleaning in place and steam sterilization processes up to 130°C. Two models are available for 1”-1.5” and 2” tri clamp flanges. For compatibility with a number of instrumentation models, both sizes come with optional automatic temperature compensation (ATC). Pt1000, Pt100, or user specified ATC values are available.

Cell constants offered with the CS316 are 0.01, 0.1 and 1.0 which allow the sensors a wide measurement range in most applications from pure water to general industrial use. Special cell constants are available on request. The sensors come with a 10 foot cable with tinned wire terminations for connection to process monitoring instrumentation.

The CX-3000 measures one of three critical process parameters: conductivity, resistivity or salinity. A simple push button interface enables user-programming on-site for desired monitoring, with a password protection option for added security. The CX-3000’s dual output design, with a dedicated (0)4 – 20mA output for temperature measurement, eliminates the need for a separate temperature transmitter. Its large backlit LCD screen displays selected parameter and temperature simultaneously.
