Perma Pure Showcases Sample Conditioning Solutions at ISA Expo

Toms River, NJ (August 30, 2006) – Perma Pure LLC will exhibit its gas conditioning products at the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA) Expo 2006, booth number 2535.  The company offers a full line of dryers, filters, and complete gas sampling systems for use in industrial and scientific applications.  The Expo takes place October 17-19 at the Reliant Center, Houston Texas.

 Perma Pure sample conditioning technology

With 35 years of experience, Perma Pure has gained a reputation for meeting the most challenging application requirements, preparing hot, wet, dirty gas samples for analysis.  The company’s patented Nafion® technology is the core of a range of products that can be incorporated easily into analyzer cabinets or used as stand-alone devices.  Acid mists, coalescable liquids, water and particulates are removed without altering the concentrations of analyte gases.

The company’s ISA exhibit will showcase its sample conditioning technology for gas analysis, including the PD™-Series dryers for laboratory use, Zero-Air™ generators for stack testing and its GASS™ family of sample conditioning systems for industrial applications.  The GASS™- Module delivers cost-effective and reliable sample preparation in a package that can be easily integrated into environmental analysis systems, while the GASS™-2040 offers a complete system for sample preparation.  Additionally, the GASS-2040’s stack mounting option increases accuracy and reduces costs by speeding calibration response time.

Dryers Remove Threat of Condensation from Total Organic Carbon Analyzers

Toms River, NJ (August 21, 2006) – Rapid oxidation of gas samples for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) measurement can produce condensation which interferes with accurate readings.  Perma Pure’s MD™-Series and MDH™-Series Dryers remove excess water vapor to keep TOC analyzers in laboratory, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, water, and industrial applications free from damage and inaccurate results.

Perma Pure’s MD™-Series and MDH™-Series Dryers

Using patented Nafion® membrane technology, MD-Series and MDH-Series dryers selectively remove only water vapor from gas samples, leaving the carbon dioxide concentration intact for TOC measurement.  With this one step drying solution there is no need for a drip leg, peltier cooler, or desiccant canister.  Without moving parts, the dryers are highly reliable and require no routine maintenance.

For gas samples with above-ambient dew points, the integral heater and thermostat in the MDH-Series dryers control temperature and prevent condensation throughout the drying process.  This integrated design simplifies installation and operation.

MD-Series dryers are available in stainless steel, fluorocarbon or polypropylene, with a range of sizes to accommodate a variety of applications with flow rates of up to 4 LPM.  MDH-Series dryers are designed for gas flows of up to 1 LPM, with as much as 30% water by volume.  Either model can be incorporated easily into analyzer cabinets or used as a stand-alone device.
