New Pooltest Portable Photometers for Swimming Pool Water Monitoring
Water analysis expert Palintest Ltd. has developed new Pooltest 3 and Pooltest 6 photometers for on-site pool water quality testing. The new products are more accurate using narrow band filters with a wavelength tolerance of +/-2 nm. The instruments also offer increased path length for measurement, enabling greater resolution at low concentrations for better precision. A 4-button interface also makes the instruments very easy to use, with a clear LCD screen for the menu and results, and a universal symbol set that spans all language barriers.
Regular pool testing is essential to maintaining good water quality, as the information allows disinfection, pH control and chemical levels to be adjusted for an optimal recreational environment. The enhanced performance of these new instruments, coupled with the ability to take readings more often, means that the perfect balance between safe hygiene and potentially unpleasant additive levels has never been easier to achieve.
The Pooltest 3 is designed to be ideal for routine pool monitoring, and can test for Chlorine levels, pH and Cyanuric Acid, with the option of an extended range Chlorine test for when a 0-10 mg/l range is desired. The Pooltest 6 tests those same basic parameters, and can also measure Alkalinity, Bromine and Calcium Hardness levels for a more in-depth analysis of the water quality. Both products avoid any compromise between accuracy, speed and ease of use, meaning that water testing can be quick, effective and efficient.
Both new Pooltest products are waterproof and robust with IP67 rating, and have a battery life from just 2 AAs of approximately 24,000 readings. They come with a choice of hard or soft carry cases, which can also hold reagents for each test as well as instructions, test tubes, brushes and crushing rods, for a fully self-contained pool water testing centre.
