Palintest USA Simplifies Pool Water Testing with Pooltest Professional Plus System

New extended range chlorine test and water balance index help eliminate user error

Erlanger, KY (June 4, 2008) – Palintest USA, a world-leading manufacturer of water testing products, has extended the range of the Pooltest Professional water testing system with the new Pooltest 9 and 25 Professional Plus photometers.

Palintest’s Pooltest 9 and 25 Professional Plus Photometers

The Pooltest 9 and 25 are precision pool photometers capable of performing all required tests such as free and total chlorine, pH and alkalinity.  The Pooltest 25 is also capable of more specialized tests such as phosphate and nitrate, and it features on-board memory of test results with audit trail capability.

The newly upgraded Pooltest 9 and 25 Professional Plus photometers come pre-programmed to perform extended range tests.  Using Palintest’s new DPD XF and XT tablets, the Professional Plus photometers can test for free and total chlorine concentrations of 0-10ppm.

The introduction of this extended range test will greatly ease the process by reducing the need for dilution and the problems associated with the bleaching of the DPD solution’s color.  The new, highly effective DPD formulation is based on proven Palintest expertise.  Palintest’s Pooltest photometers allow the pool operator to choose between standard and extended range DPD testing, with results displayed in ppm.

The Pooltest 9 and 25 Professional Plus photometers have already been programmed with the new test included, and older Pooltest 9 and 25 Professional units are easily upgradeable to support the extended range test function.  In addition to the DPD XF and XT tablets, the standard 0-5ppm test tablets are also available for use with the Pooltest 9 and 25 photometers.

This latest generation of the best selling range of photometers also includes a water balance index.  From the test results, the photometer calculates the water balance to ensure that all the parameters can be kept within optimum ranges, avoiding corrosion and scale formation, reducing operating costs and extending pool and plant equipment life.
