Sanitary Pressure Relief Systems from Oseco at Interphex
PRO-S system on display at company’s booth 1833
Broken Arrow, Okla. (March 14, 2011) – Oseco will feature its PRO-S sanitary pressure relief system at Interphex 2011, from March 29-31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (New York, N.Y.). The system will be on display at the company’s booth 1833.
The PRO-S utilizes a reverse-buckling rupture disc, engineered so that its smooth side faces the product flow to minimize product buildup and blockage. The disc is precision scored on the vent side to burst in the event of over-pressurization, avoiding injury and equipment damage. The PRO-S disc requires no special liners or coatings, and operates smoothly in hygienic-controlled, FDA-sensitive environments at up to 90% of its burst pressure. The disc features burst pressures as low as 16 psig, making it ideal for pharmaceutical and biochemical manufacturing applications.
The PRO-S system includes the Oseco Sanitary Sensor (OSS), which alerts the user when a disc has ruptured. Using a simple, effective method of detecting when a disc has burst, the OSS can be used to activate a variety of alarms, including computer controlled systems.
