Oseco Promotes Jay Smith to VP Finance

Smith to provide leadership while continuing to improve financial performance

Broken Arrow, Okla. (June 18, 2009) – Leading rupture detection equipment manufacturer Oseco has promoted Jay Smith to Vice President of Finance.

As VP of Finance, Smith will be responsible for strategic planning, leading financial and accounting activities, and managing the company’s information technology personnel.  Smith joined Oseco in 2007 as Controller, where his duties included improving the company’s financial performance and reporting. 

Before his position with Oseco, Smith was the Engineering Supervisor and later the Global Controller of exhaust emission systems for Delphi (Tulsa, Okla.), a worldwide supplier of mobile electronics and transportation systems.  He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Science from the University of Oklahoma (Norman, Okla.).  Smith also has a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern State University (Broken Arrow, Okla.), a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and is currently working towards completing his CPA certification.
