Labsphere Launches Type D Benchtop Goniophotometer

Labsphere, Inc. has released its newest light metrology solution, a full feature Goniospectrometer that fits securely on a lab bench. Labsphere provides innovative solutions for a wide range of applications including LED/SSL lighting, remote sensing, imager/consumer camera, automotive, defense and security, health and biomedical optics to both Production and Research environments.

Labsphere’s Benchtop Goniospectrometer is the perfect option for customers requiring the performance of a Type C Goniospectrometer, but are limited by lab space and budget. The reduced footprint allows users to benefit from Labsphere’s expertise in light measurement technology without the hassle and expense of building an additional room for a traditional full size Goniospectrometer.

Greg McKee, Chief Technologist at Labsphere stated: “As we worked with global customers requiring full function Goniospectrometers, we realized that the industry needed a robust system that could be used in existing lab spaces. The Benchtop Goniospectrometer meets that need and augments the full line of light measurement technology solutions Labsphere has developed over the past 35 years.”

The Benchtop Goniospectrometer measures: Lumens, Peak Candela, CCT, CRI, Beam Angle, Power, Power Factor and Lumen/Watt. User-friendly software allows for customizable reporting with over 20 data points reported in IES format for compliance to global standards and specifications.

Labsphere’s complete line of Goniophotometers and Goniospectrometers can be found at www.labsphere.com. For more information, contact Technical Sales at +1-603-927-4266 or email sales@labsphere.com.

Labsphere Launches Newest Durable Reflectance Coatings

Labsphere, Inc. has released its newest diffuse reflectance coating, Permaflect, to augment the well-established product line of Diffuse Reflectance Materials and Coatings which includes award-winning Spectralon®, Spectraflect®, and Infragold®. Labsphere provides innovative solutions for a wide range of applications including LED/SSL lighting, remote sensing, imager/consumer camera, automotive, defense and security, health and biomedical optics to both Production and Research environments.

Labsphere’s Permaflect proprietary near Lambertian white and grey reflectance coatings are engineered for use in applications where hostile environments, weathering, and wear may affect typical reflectance coatings. Reflectances range from 5% to 94%.

Greg McKee, Chief Technologist at Labsphere stated: “From disposable references for medical instrumentation to image sensor baseline targets, the applications for Labsphere‘s tailorable diffuse reflectance coatings are unlimited and beyond compare.”

In addition to providing Permaflect as an option for coated components, Labsphere offers Permaflect Diffuse Reflectance Targets in a wide range of sizes. These targets are a superior option to paper and paint in a broad range of ambient conditions. “Permaflect is unmatched at providing a lightweight, uniform, and durable alternative to traditional targets” remarked McKee.

Reflectance and BRDF data for Permaflect can be found at www.labsphere.com. For more information, contact Technical Sales at +1-603-927-4266 or email sales@labsphere.com.
