Keeler Launches New Portable Slit Lamp
Compact PSL One lightweight yet sturdy for on- or off-site use
Broomall, Pennsylvania (July 10, 2012) – Offering another portable slit lamp choice to suit optometric practice needs, Keeler has launched the PSL One. With one standard magnification of 10x, the PSL One is a more cost-effective option than Keeler’s popular Classic Portable Slit Lamp (PSL), for practitioners who prefer value over extra features.

Keeler's PSL One
Keeler’s PSL One has been designed to be lightweight and durable, ideal for use on pediatric, elderly, obese and disabled patients in on- or off-site clinics. Its precision-machined aluminum chassis creates a sturdy structure able to withstand daily travel and use in a busy practice.
PSL One features slit and wheels from 0.15 to 1.6 mm, a 12mm circle and a 1mm square to produce anterior chamber flare, aiding the diagnosis of uveitis. Red free, blue and ND (Neutral Density) filters all come as standard. Its advanced optics offer x10 magnification, with illumination control down to zero.
An optional iPhone 4 adaptor enables ophthalmic video capture, turning the PSL One into an instant digital slit lamp with high resolution video. Captured video is useful for diagnosis, teaching, patient communication and record keeping. Keeler’s PSL One takes advantage of the iPhone 4’s full imaging capabilities along with linked email to upload video clips.
Keeler’s Classic PSL and PSL One are high-performance, British-designed and -manufactured instruments.
