New Lightweight Indirect Ophthalmoscope With Built-In LED Light
The new Spectra Plus spectacle mounted indirect ophthalmoscope from Keeler is lightweight, compact and portable. It also has an in-built bright, homogenous LED light source that eliminates the need for bulb replacements.
The entire optical unit and light can be flipped up to allow direct eye contact when talking to a patient or writing up notes. The indirect system is supplied with one of Keeler’s new lightweight wrap around Sport Frames. Available in a variety of metallic colours, the frames are designed to ensure maximum comfort and balance. The indirect can also be fitted to the user’s own prescription frames if required.
The Spectra Plus has variable PD (pupil distance) settings between 48 and 76mm. This means there are no restrictions on the user – they simply adjust the PD as necessary.
A compact Lithium ion battery is provided as standard. The small battery simply clips onto a belt when in use and can be stored in a small desk-top charger when not needed. A fully charged battery provides up to four hours continuous use. A carry case is also provided with the Spectra Plus system.
