New Cryomatic From Keeler Simplifies Cryo Surgery

Following extensive consultation with ophthalmic surgeons, Keeler has completely re-engineered its cryosurgery system to produce the new Cryomatic.

Cryomatic

Significantly easier to use than previous models, the Cryomatic’s intuitive console automatically configures itself according to the probe’s characteristics, removing the need for manual set-up. Gas pressure is also automatically set, for both CO2 or N2O.

Faster and deeper probe freezing, defrosting and re-freezing ensures quicker and more dependable surgical procedures. An automatic back flush facility removes any debris or moisture that may have accumulated, virtually eliminating the risk of blockages. A particle filter is also provided for optimum probe performance and reliability.

The completely redesigned control console provides clear, digital readouts of probe activity and temperature, time elapsed and gas pressure. Probe operation is controlled by a footswitch, leaving the hands free at all times. The whole system is quick and easy to set up, a major advantage if experienced staff are not always available.

Pencils are available for all cryosurgery procedures, including retinal treatments, intravitreal surgery, trichiasis, glaucoma and cataract surgery.
