This German-engineered monitoring technology, designed for clinics, hospitals and outpatient treatment, provides simultaneous vital sign results in seconds for on-the-spot patient assessment, including a special mode for measuring newborns’ NIBP and an optional infrared thermometer for measuring temperature. It features a simple, easy-to-use menu and results are displayed on a large and bright LCD.

The ri-vital® is portable, lightweight and protected by a shock resistant casing and shock absorbing interior attachments; a mobile stand is available as an additional accessory. A wide range of cuffs and different sensor sizes are available and the ergonomic design provides easy storage for the cuffs, sensors and cords. The ri-vital® is powered by a durable, lithium-ion rechargeable battery that ensures a sustained, high-power performance.

Engineered to protect against the shock of impact due to a fall or other incidents, the ri-vital® ensures continued reliable and fast readings of a patient’s vital signs.

The new design eliminates sharp edges, with smooth contours that allow easier insertion and removal of tubing without snares. An integrated insert provides both positive tube retention and confirmation of correct tubing size. Manual push-button override is available as an option.

The valve’s new design also includes a valve body constructed from Luran and a plunger composed of Ryton. These materials are resistant to most common cleaning solutions and easily meet Bio-Chem Fluidics’ two million cycle operation standard.

Fiberguide’s polyimide coating is ideal for oil and gas, aerospace, sensors, defence, medical and security applications requiring high temperature resistance. The coating withstands operating temperatures up to 400ºC (300ºC continuous), while conventional coatings such as acrylate, nylon and Tefzel® begin to deteriorate between 100ºC and 250ºC.

Additionally, Fiberguide’s unique process of applying the coating results in a fibre of significantly reduced cross-sectional area. This low profile characteristic is optimal for use in bundles and supports spectral transmission from 160nm to 2500nm.

Polyimide coated fibre is available in step index, multimode fibres from 50um cores to 600um cores; 6.25um/125um and 50um//125um graded index; and 4.8um/125um and 9.2um/125um single mode fibres. Weighing only 1.2 kg in the water, Gemini is ideal for ROV or AUV navigation and can be supplied with a Software Developer’s Toolkit for autonomous control applications. Gemini is supplied with integrated Ethernet and VDSL communication modes which offer the option to communicate either through fibre optic cables or long distance twisted pair channels, depending on the configuration of the umbilical. All the sonar processing occurs inside the subsea unit, making it ideal for AUV control operations.

The introduction of a curved transmit transducer array ensures that acoustic energy power is evenly transferred across a wide swath imaging sector, thereby significantly speeding up search and navigation operations. To sharpen up the acoustic range resolution, an innovative sound velocity sensor has been integrated into the design of Gemini to accurately monitor the local velocity of sound conditions.
