In a difficult economic climate, Halma as a group and HWM in particular have both managed to sustain and even improve their growth figures over the last year. HWM has made some significant new customer-led product developments, resulting in a marked increase in market share for its water management, leak detection, datalogging and energy management ranges.

The award is judged on a range of criteria designed to measure not just sales and profit, but general business development, management and engineering. HWM achieved an impressive 51% growth in sales this year, sitting the company at the top of Halma subsidiaries’ annual growth figures in a year which saw the group as a whole increase revenue by 12%.

HWM Managing Director Rob Fish, who accepted the award, said: “I am very proud to have received the award on behalf of everyone at the company, and it is great to see the hard work and excellent results we have achieved recognised in this manner. Each year the competition is very fierce, and it really is a prize for the company that outperformed the outperformers!”
