Commenting on the appointment Hanovia’s Sales Director, Keith Watson, said, “Pools have been an extremely important part of Hanovia’s business over many years, and this move emphasises our on-going commitment the market. Duncan’s role will be to strengthen our ties with pool builders and operators world-wide and to make sure Hanovia stays at the forefront of this global business.”

Hanovia was one of the pioneers of UV technology for pool water treatment, installing the first commercial pool UV system in the UK over 10 years ago. It is now one of the world leaders in the field, with installations spanning the globe, from the USA and Canada to Australia and New Zealand.

“I’m delighted to have been given this challenge,” commented Duncan on his promotion. “I have many years experience with Hanovia’s UV systems, across a range of industries, and this opportunity to focus on the international pool market is a great opportunity for me and the company.”

All Hanovia UV pool systems are compact and can usually be installed within existing pipework with minimal disruption. Automatic wipers keep the quartz sleeves housing the UV lamps clean, so the only regular maintenance required is changing the lamp, a simple operation that can be done in minutes. Reduced chlorine usage also results in significant cost savings for the pool operator, as well as cutting down on chemical handling.
