Hands-on demonstrations of all Fiberguide products available at company’s booth

Stirling, N.J. (December 4, 2008) – Leading optical fiber manufacturer Fiberguide Industries will be exhibiting at the SPIE Photonics West show, from January 27 through 29 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.

Fiberguide’s optical fibers and high power laser delivery cables.

Featured at Fiberguide’s booth, #315, will be a selection of the company’s specialty optical fibers.  Single mode, multimode, graded index, tapered and metal coated fibers are suitable for a wide array of applications in the medical/ biomedical and spectroscopy industries, as well as for use by industrial OEMs.

Also featured will be Fiberguide’s high power laser delivery cables.  The specialized cables utilize air gap technology to eliminate all energy absorbing materials at fiber end.  The cantilevered fiber end can accept very high power levels that would normally destroy traditional fiber termination.  A uniquely designed heat sink is thermally and mechanically connected to the assembly to effectively conduct generated heat away from fiber.
