Safety Given Top Marks During School Visit To Crowcon
A recent visit to gas detection specialist Crowcon’s Abingdon, Oxfordshire headquarters by pupils from a local secondary school was a great success. Organised in conjunction with the Industrial Trust, the visit introduced GCSE Physics pupils from Larkmead School in Abingdon to the importance of gas detection as an essential safety requirement in today’s industrial and domestic environments.

Crowcon’s in-house training specialists gave working demonstrations of safety equipment, which included some of the pupils trying on safety gear. The students also had a tour of the manufacturing and service areas of the factory and had the opportunity to engage with members of the Crowcon team.
“Our pupils found the visit very interesting and enjoyable and think it will be useful in their school work,” commented Roger Gilkes, Head of Physics at Larkmead School. “It also taught them more about industry and the kinds of jobs available. We’d like to extend our thanks to Crowcon for organising the event and to the staff who took time out of their busy day to get involved.”
