Apollo To Supply Fire Detection System To Changsha City Towers

British company Apollo Fire Detectors (www.apollo-fire.com) has a worldwide reputation for quality and reliability. This reputation has helped it to win the contract to supply the fire detection system for a commercial and residential development in Changsha City, Hunan Province, which will include a Sheraton Hotel.

Changsha Sheraton Hotel

The development comprises two towers with a total building area of 87,480 square metres. The Sheraton Changsha Hotel will be the first international 5-star hotel in Hunan Province and will offer 388 rooms and suites, as well as other luxury facilities.

This prestigious project specified Apollo’s fire detectors to meet its fire protection requirements. The intelligent fire detection system will be based on Apollo’s XP95 technology and will include 4,102 XP95 smoke and heat detectors, 632 manual call points and almost 2,000 interfaces, making it the largest fire detection system that Apollo has supplied in China to date.

Other recent Apollo contracts in China include new power stations in Ningxia Province and Inner Mongolia and an intelligent fire detection system featuring approximately 2,650 Apollo XP95 devices for the underground parking areas that will serve the 2008 Olympic facility in Beijing.

Apollo, which is Europe’s largest fire detector manufacturer, recently signed a distribution agreement with GST (www.gst.com.cn), China’s leading provider of integrated fire detection and alarm systems. GST will distribute Apollo’s products throughout mainland China through its extensive network of over 100 branches. The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
